U2 Plays “Gloria” for 1st Time in 10 Years

During their show at Chicago’s United Center last night, U2 treated fans to their first live rendition of “Gloria“ since their 2005 Vertigo tour. While Bono was introducing the song, which comes off their 1981 album October, he incorrectly noted, “This is the first time we’ve played this song in about 20 years.“ Rolling Stone also reports that during the sound check for last night’s show, U2 played their 1983 cut “Two Hearts Beat as One,“ which they haven’t played live since 1989; while that song didn’t make the final cut during the actual concert, Bono did sing a few lines from it while the band played “Beautiful Day”…
