No Escape: Lately when you think of an Owen Wilson film you think “stupid humor”, but this is hardly the case with “No Escape”. I tell you what, I was very happy with what I saw in this film. I don’t think it was even 5 minutes in when things kicked off with a bang. There were even a couple of times during the film I was actually nervous for the characters… And that’s saying something. One to check out for sure.
We Are Your Friends: Was hoping this one was going to be better than it was. Zac Efron as an EDM DJ wasn’t too far fetched, but as it turns out it didn’t work. There was a line in the movie where they say “sounds have soul” and for me it unfortunately this film didn’t find it until the very end. Had they gone that route sooner, maybe it could have been a lot better.
Learning To Drive: Here’s a movie I wish I had been able to see. A good looking Rom-Com with Sir Ben Kingsley and Patricia Clarkson that has gotten pretty good reviews so far. If you want to see it the only place in the valley showing it is the Camelview in Scottsdale.
