Follow Up: Angry Coyotes Fan Pays $10K to Tase Glendale Mayor

As you remember (and maybe even read about on our Facebook page), last week, the city council in Glendale voted to end its arena-lease agreement with the Phoenix Coyotes, thus putting the NHL franchise’s future in the area in doubt. Clad in a team jersey, Ronda Pearson let the city’s politicians have it during her testimony on Wednesday, and on Saturday paid $10,000 for the right to “tase” Glendale’s mayor, Jerry Weiers. Weiers, who’s reportedly “okay“ after getting shocked, had placed a reverse-bounty on his own back, saying that anyone who could raise such a handsome fee would be able to “tase” him, with the money going to a local charity that supports first-responders…
