Your Quick & Simple Review: “Kingsman: The Golden Circle”

With their headquarters destroyed and the world held hostage, members of Kingsman find new allies when they discover a spy organization in the United States known as Statesman. In an adventure that tests their strength and wits, the elite secret agents from both sides of the pond band together to battle a ruthless enemy and save the day, something that’s becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy.

When the first film came out in 2014 I thought it was good but nothing spectacular. So when I heard there was gonna be a sequel I thought… ok, as long as it’s better than the first. Personally, I think The Golden Circle was better, but not by much.

Personally, I saw nothing too exciting about the story and some of the action sequences seemed to be recycled from the first film. What disappointed me most, the fact that some of the new cast members where barely in it. There was very little of Halle Berry and Channing Tatum and at one point I was thinking what happened to the villain, Julianne Moore?

Two things, besides a better story, that would have made this one better… 1) Making it a lot shorter. The 2 and a half hour running time was killing me. 2) More Elton John… Not Joking. Sir Elton in a peacock suit is always a good time.

Granted, I know, there’s a fan base for Kingsman but this film, and even the first one, should have been much better. That’s why this is Not A Must See Movie this weekend.
