In Theaters This Weekend: “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.” and “Straight Outta Compton”

The Man From U.N.C.L.E.:  Directed by Guy Ritchie this film has a nice old school spy movie feel to it.  Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer portray secret agents in 1963 and during the Cold War and both actors did a great job pulling of the “slickness” that is pretty typical of Guy Ritchie films.  However, as much as I thought the performances were enjoyable unfortunately I couldn’t say much more than that.  Everytime I thought we were going to get to some really exciting action, the direction of the film changed.  Leaving me with a let down.  For the most part though it’s a good movie, for me, I was just hoping for a little more out of it.

Straight Outta Compton:  I’m calling this movie the ultimate episode of Behind The Music and it was really good.  The story of 5 guys whose Gangster Rap changed the landscape of music in the 80’s.  From their beginings to the falling out of Dr. Dre and Ice Cube to the death of Eazy E.  We got to see so much of what we never even knew about.
