Taylor Swift has donated $50,000 to help a local 11-year-old fan with cancer. As the story goes, Naomi Oakes of San Tan Valley was forced to cancel her plans to attend the singer’s August 18 concert when she was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia last month. E! News reports that Naomi requires aggressive treatment and is unable to leave the hospital for the next six to nine months. Taylor caught wind of the story and made a contribution to Naomi’s GoFundMe page on Tuesday in order to help cover her medical expenses. “To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I’m sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts. Let’s focus on getting you feeling better,“ she wrote.
