Americans Who Stopped Train Attack Receive France’s Highest Honor

Three Americans and one Brit who thwarted a would-be terrorist from carrying out a massive machine-gun attack aboard a train in France over the weekend were honored by French president Francois Hollande today, receiving the country’s Legion of Honor for their heroic effort to subdue the gunman. “Your heroism must be an example for many and a source of inspiration,“ Hollande said. “Faced with the evil of terrorism, there is a good, that of humanity. You are the incarnation of that.“ The three men from the U.S. who received France’s highest honor included two military men and their civilian friend who was traveling with them through Europe…
