Your Quick & Simple Review: The Hitman’s Bodyguard

THE HITMAN’S BODYGUARD:  Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) is one of the world’s top protection agents that is asked to guard the life of his mortal enemy, Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson), one of the world’s most notorious hit men. Taking him from the United Kingdom to the International Court of Justice. On their way, they are chased by deadly assassins forcing them to work together in order for the hitman to testify against a ruthless, powerful and bloodthirsty Eastern European dictator (Gary Oldman).

Personally I have always been a fan of Ryan’s smart-ass humor, and Sam Jacksons tough guy act.  For me, getting to see them on the big screen at the same time was pretty exciting.  The way the two characters hated each other and we’re constantly going at it with the one-liners, mixed with some pretty good fight scenes and car chases made this a film I enjoyed.  Granted it was pretty easy to figure out that they would end up liking each other in the end, the story was still very intriguing.

The big bonus, I thought, was Salma Hayek.  As the wife of Darius Kincaid, she was extremely funny with her outrageous verbal lashing’s that nobody was safe from.  Then we also find out she can kick some serious ass too… I liked her a lot.

All in all I enjoyed this one.  Good action, good laughs and a great cast that I think is a Must See Movie this weekend.
