Super-Troopers-2

Your Quick & Simple Review: Super Troopers 2

The boys of the Vermont Highway Patrol have returned, Thorny, Farva, Rabbit, Foster and Mac, except this time they’re not cops anymore.   However, they get a shot at redemption when Capt. O’Hagan and Gov. Jessan asked them to provide law enforcement for a French Canadian town that’s transitioning to U.S. sovereignty. But their unconventional methods soon get put to the test when they come across a smarmy mayor, mischievous Mounties, a smuggling ring and a 1,300-pound bear.

When stupid humor meets a bad Canadian accent, you know you’re in for a good time.

That was a pleasant surprise for myself, since I hadn’t seen the first movie all those years ago.  From what I understand, like a lot of sequels do, there were more than a few recycled jokes, in this one, that you saw in the first movie.  But being one of the peeps whose seeing this for the first time, it was ok cause I would have never known… and it was funny.

The cast performances were fine.  So if you’re a fan then you know what to expect.  If you’re not then you’re probably gonna be saying to yourself, What The Hell Is This???  Stupid humor isn’t for everyone.  But you throw in a nice supporting cast like Rob Lowe and cameos from Sean William Scott & Damon Wayans Jr, among others, and you’ve got yourself a pretty decent film.  It’s just Not A Must See Movie unless you’re one of the fans of the first film.
