Ferdinand is the story of a giant bull with a big heart. After being mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure. Set in Spain, Ferdinand proves you can’t judge a bull by its cover.
I’m not the biggest animated feature fan and in a year when there wasn’t anything spectacular in this catagory, except for Coco & The Lego Batman Movie, but I was interested in seeing this classic tale on the big screen. Although I wasn’t dissapointed I also didn’t think it’s gonna be instand classic.
There were some nice characters here, led by John Cena as Ferdinand and Kate McKinnon as Lupe, along with a few good songs on the soundtrack but all in all is was a good, simple story that I think kids are gonna enjoy, if it can keep their attention. At almost 2 hrs it can seem a little long at time, but they moved the story along at a nice pace that I think will do the job.
