PROFESSOR MARSTON & THE WONDER WOMEN: The true story about the man who created the world most iconic female superhero, Wonder Woman and where the inspiration came from.
This is probably the best movie out this weekend and the one that will have you saying… No Waaaaay!!!
With Luke Evans as Dr. Marston, Rebecca Hall as his wife, Elizabeth and Bella Heathcote as their live in lover, Olive this will have you fascinated the entire time. Not only by the life the 3 lived but if you know anything about the character, and the story is accurate, you’ll see the things that actually became part of Woman Woman and what inspired it.
If there’s one film that’s A Must See Movie, it’s this one.
THE FOREIGNER: Starring Jackie Chan as Quan, a soft spoken man, whose daughter is killed during a terrorist bombing. Little does anyone know that Quan has a past, and he uses his skills to obtain the information of the names of the people responsible for his daughter’s death.
This was a nice action flick. Although I found it a lil funny how Jackie’s character was very slow moving, but as soon as there was a fight he was quick as lightning. Story was somewhat predictable but good. I would have only wished they cut down on some of the long dialog moments. It’s Not A Must See Movie, however, if you’ve seen everything else it might be worth the watch.
GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN: The true story of A.A. Milne (Domhall Gleeson), the creator of the beloved children’s story Winnie The Pooh, and the success it brought him while making life no so pleasant for a young Christopher Robin (Will Tilston & Alex Lawther)
Talk about a film that tugged at the emotional heart strings.
This is a very interesting look at where all the ideas and inspiration came from for the classic tale. To learn that A.A. suffered from PTSD after serving in World War I, and how life wasn’t so happy go lucky for Christopher. All while Mrs. Milne (Margot Robbie) was just enjoying herself and lived in a constant denial that anything was wrong. Honestly, this is one you might need a tissue or two for. It is also one that I say, if you have a chance to see, go see it… it is A Must See Movie.
HAPPY DEATH DAY: Tree (Jessica Rothe) is a self-centered college student who wakes up on her birthday in the bed of a student named Carter (Israel Broussard). As the morning goes on, Tree starts to realize that she’s experienced the events of this day before. When a masked killer suddenly takes her life in a brutal attack, she once again magically wakes up in Carter’s dorm room unharmed. Now, Tree must relive the same day over and over until she figures out who murdered her.
This one really wasn’t my cup of tea. Meaning I was hoping for more of an actual slasher film. But for what it was, more of a comedic film, it was still pretty good. I did get a few good laughs at some of the ridiculous scenarios Tree found herself in. And I liked how it was a film that would eventually make fun of itself, however, for me this is Not A Must See Movie but still one fans might get a kick out of.
